Currently, our Advisory Board consists of educators from the following places: San Francisco Bay Area, Atlanta, Florence, Boston, southern California, and New Hampshire. We are always looking for more feedback and encourage you to consider joining us. As I receivepictures and bios, I will continue to post our current Advisory Board members.

Nancy Gibson
Nancy Gibson
Nancy Gibson has been in education since 1974, mostly as a classroom teacher and, during the past decade, as a technology resource teacher. She lives in Chino Hills, California with her husband, also a teacher, her daughter, and her son (when he's not away at college). She teaches English Language Development and French at La Puente High School in La Puente, California. She is currently involved in the One World Project (oneworld.pnn.com) which she started in 2006 with the help of a grant from Teaching Tolerance. The main goal of this project is to promote cross-cultural understanding...giving students topics to write about and speak about that are relevant to them and having them discover that we have a lot in common.

Ted Curran
Ted Curran
Ted Curran is a Digital Design teacher for City Arts and TechnologyHigh School in San Francisco. He has been a classroom teacher for
five years in various progressive charter schools in the Bay Area,
teaching English Language Arts, Social Science, and Digital Design
with the help of cutting-edge of computer technology.
Ted's educational philosophy involves providing a high quality,
project-based education to diverse learners in order to effect social
change. He has found a perfect vehicle for this belief in Envision
Schools, the Bay Area charter school organization which runs City
Arts and Tech.
Prior to teaching, Ted spent three years working in Hollywood for various TV production companies, creating TV shows and music videos for Paramount Domestic TV, MCA Records, Lifetime, A&E, and many others. He gained experience as a director/producer, video editor, production manager, researcher, department coordinator, and various other post-production positions.

Maureen Ord
Maureen Ord
Maureen Ord is a biology teacher at Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, CA. She teaches various classes for grades 9-12 in the biological sciences, including biology, honors biology, microbiology, and anatomy and physiology. Maureen's previous 6 years of teaching experience also includes teaching integrated science curriculum at both the high school and middle school levels. She has been involved in the district curriculum writing process for science, including the investigation, development, and implementation of the new curriculum.Maureen holds teaching certificates in both California and Nebraska. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Maureen has recently completed the Exploratorium's Teacher Institute program for new teachers, and continues to pursue other professional development opportunities, including completing her Master's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Prior to her career in teaching, Maureen worked as an environmental educator at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in Bellevue, NE, and also as a Biological Science Technician for the National Park Service at Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora, ND.

Tamara Weinstein
Tamara Weinstein
Tamara Weinstein is an educational technology specialist at the The Children's School, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she develops and implements.technology curriculum for grades K - 6.Tamara has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Barnard College in New York City and a Masters of Arts degree in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University in southern California.
Her educational expertise expands beyond the K-6 classroom to Cliff Valley School in Atlanta, Georgia, where Tamara is a pre-school teacher.
Tamara was particularly inspired by the work of Seymour Papert to enter the field of Educational Technology.
Software most commonly used: MicroWorlds Jr., MicroWorlds EX, Lego Robotics, Adobe Photoshop, Inspiration Data, and blogging.
Tamara is very much looking forward to incorporating PNN into her current curriculum as well as introducing it to classroom teachers!
